An Inspiring Message to Take in and Pass Along!

My very dear childhood friend and fellow New Yorker, Julie, who died six summers ago, took a class with a book artist a number of years ago. He asked the participants to create a postcard and send a reminder message to inspire themselves after the workshop. Here is what she wrote:

For her memorial service I created an edition of 200 little accordion books with her words and art materials: this is the last page:

It seemed like the right words to pass along to those who loved her as a reminder from her to all of us. She would approve of my passing this along to you in a blog post!

  5. I love the book-artist's postcard idea, and I love what your friend wrote to herself. I'm sure that creating the little accordian books was part of your grieving and healing process as you worked through the loss of such a dear friend. Thanks so much for sharing this, Ginny!
